The Way Christian Youth Center is holding their semi-annual yard sale and pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, May 4th from 7am to 1 pm at “The Way Christian Youth Center” located at 197 Lafayette Street in Cadiz, Kentucky, right behind Trigg County Schools. The pancake breakfast will run from 7-10 am. This is a very important fundraiser for “The Way,” as they are raising funds to build a new discipleship and education building. Calvert City Nursing and Rehab is holding a golf scramble on Friday, May 3rd at 1 pm, with lunch at 12 pm, at the Calvert City Golf and Country Club located at 123 Country Club Ln, Calvert City, KY 42029. Cost is $300.00 per team, with hole sponsorships available, as well as private person or “in remembrance” sponsors. Contests for the day will include “Closest to the Pin” and “Long Drive,” for both men and women. Payouts for the event will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 8th place teams. River Tin Street Rods is hosting the 47th Annual Charity Car Show on June 1st from 9am-3pm at 2900 Irvin Cobb Drive in Paducah, Kentucky. Entry fee is $20 dollars. Entries are open to all 1974 and older hot rods, customs, muscle cars and trucks. Proceeds from the car show will benefit local disabled veterans.
