Yard Sale to Benefit Thrive FM

We at Heartland Ministries are hosting a yard sale to benefit Thrive FM Thursday, June 22 and Friday, June 23, at the Community Building in Hardin. If you would like to donate items for the sale, bring them to the community building.

Family Fun Glow Run

The Heartland Ministries Family Fun Glow Run is back as part of the Rock the Block Party at Central Park in Murray on Saturday, July 8. Individual tickets are $20 and family and group discounts are available. Proceeds from the run will support the outreach and ministry of Thrive FM. Community Events

The Second Annual Rock the Block Party at Central Park in Murray will be held Saturday, July 8, beginning at 6:00 p.m. In addition to games, activities, contests, and a dive-in movie at the pool,  there will be a battle of the bands contest for all local Christian bands. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded. To participate in the battle of the bands, a band demo must be submitted by July 1. Marshall County Food Service is participating in the Summer Feeding Program. There are seven sites across Marshall County serving lunch to all children 17 and younger free of charge. Fundraisers

Family Service Society is hosting a Vertical Dodgeball Tournament at Vertical Jump Park, located at 5101 Old Hinkleville Road in Paducah. The tournament takes place Saturday, July 30, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Teams will be competing in groups of six. Prizes will be awarded for best costumes as well as the winner and runner up. Hope Harbor Church on Highway 94 East near Murray hosts Celebrate Recovery each Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Celebrate Recovery is a 12-step Christ-centered recovery meeting program for anyone who struggles with hurts, habits, or hang-ups. For more information, call 270-753-6695.
